Rebecca Ann Maeder

Rebecca Ann Maeder, age 64, of Mount Pleasant, passed away from this life to be with Jesus on January 22nd, 2024. She fought a good fight for nearly two years but finally succumbed to metastatic breast cancer. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 23rd, 1959. She was raised by Donald and Betty Dahlke in Lima, Ohio. After graduating high school in 1977, she moved to Raleigh, North Carolina. That’s where she met her husband, James Maeder in 1984. They got married on October 24th, 1987. Later on, they moved to Decatur, Alabama where their only son, Ryan Maeder was born on January 18th, 1995. They moved many times before moving to Mount Pleasant, WI in 2013 where she lived until her death.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her son. She loved him more than anyone else. She had a dog, Tyra, who lived for 19 years and was a faithful companion for her, and passed away exactly two weeks before she did. She was a wonderful wife and mother. She took good care of her parents in their old age. Even after they had to move into assisted living, she spent many months in Lima tending to their needs until they died of old age.

She is survived by her husband, James; her son, Ryan; and her brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Beth Dahlke. She is preceded in death by her parents.
