Phillip J. Richio, age 77, of Kenosha passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at his home. Phillip was born on December 11, 1940 in Kenosha, the son of the late Arthur and Ann (Miller) Richio. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha, graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School and received a degree in marketing from Gateway Technical College. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged after two years of service. Phil married Joan Giovanelli on September 3, 1966 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Phil worked for many years as a real estate agent, broker and property manager.
He was preceded in death by, his parents and two sisters, Delores Bruzas and Beverly Schroeder.
Phil is survived by, his wife of 52 years, Joan Richio; his sister-in-law, Carole Giovanelli; many loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a great great niece and nephew.
A Memorial Mass for Phil will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church (7117 – 14th Avenue). A visitation with the family will take place at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Mass. Private entombment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Aurora at Home Hospice, St. Mark’s Catholic Church or the charity of your choice in Phil’s memory would be greatly appreciated.
