Patti Jo Wermeling (Ripp) passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at 63 years old. She was born in Kenosha, WI on September 4, 1955. She was a Tremper High School graduate and married John Wermeling on October 1, 1982. They had five beautiful children. Patti worked at Kenosha pediatrics for over twenty years. She loved her job and had so much fun meeting patients and getting to know families. When she was at home relaxing, she enjoyed watching her favorite YouTube channels. Patti was very selfless and cherished being around her friends and family more than anything. She loved watching and attending baseball games and rooting for the Brewers. She enjoyed going shopping and having dinner with loved ones.
Roughly two years ago Patti was diagnosed with cancer and gave the fight of her life to the point where she was in remission. Her fight gave her new energy as she had a renewed mission of living life to the fullest. Sadly, a few weeks ago, she was diagnosed with MDS from previous treatment, and it took over rapidly.
Patti is survived by her loving husband John, children Allison (Alex) Wantoch, Ashlee, Amanda, Aaron, Austin, as well as grandchildren Zachary, James, and Nathan. Patti is also survived by her mother Maxine Ripp, mother in law Jean Wermeling, brother Joseph Ripp and many friends and extended family. Her dog, Maya will also miss her. She is preceded in death by her father Leonard Ripp, father in law Richard Wermeling, and uncle Gerald Ruben.
There will be a private service on Friday October 19th followed by a celebration of life at Casa Capri from 1-4:30.
In lieu of flowers, Patti asked for donations to be made to Safe Harbor Humane Society. She would also like to thank the Cancer Center, Hospice Alliance, and all of the doctors and nurses who did a wonderful job helping her through her journey.
