Patricia Williams passed away peacefully on the evening of February 1st, at St. Catherine’s Hospital, surrounded by her family. Patricia Mae Williams (Hartnell) was born on May 21st, 1931 in Kenosha, WI to Ralph and Mary Hartnell. After attending Lincoln Jr. High she graduated from Vocational School. She became a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kenosha in 1949 when she married Richard Anderson. From 1947-1970 she spent many wonderful years working in retail and raising her two boys. In 1970 she began working at Jockey International, eventually retiring in 1993. She remarried on July 28, 1973 to Hubert S. Williams; a man she called the “love of her life”.
Patricia had a happy and full life. She belonged to many clubs including; the Jockey Retirees Club (of which she was treasurer for 6 years), the Friends of Jockey Club, the Ladies Moose Club, and the Educators Credit Union. She was also an active volunteer serving at the Kenosha Hospital in guest services and serving at polling stations in the City of Kenosha for many years. Patricia had many hobbies. She loved to read, do jigsaw puzzles, knit, crochet, play cards with family and friends, and bake cookies! She also loved to travel. In her retirement, her husband, friends, and family joined her as she traveled all over the country. She always looked forward to the weeks her Grandchildren could join her on her property in central Wisconsin. Very few things gave her as much joy as her grandkid’s and great-grandkids. Her constant love and generous attitude influenced and affected all those who had the good pleasure of knowing her. Her smile was contagious, her humor was infectious, and her love was unconditional. She will be missed by many, but her spirit of joy and love will live on in all that were blessed to have called her Mom, Grandma, Grandma Candy, GG, or Mama Pat.
She is survived in death by her 2 sons, Rick (Sherri) Anderson and James (Gail) Anderson of Kenosha and one Step-son, Hubert (Nancy) Williams of South Africa along with 10 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grand Children. She is preceded in death by Her Husband Hubert Williams, her 3 sisters, Fern Sithuemann, Maryland Herchirt, Norma Knutter, her brother John Hartnell and her stepdaughter Judy Techert.
Funeral services will be held on Monday February 6th, 2017 at 11:00AM at First United Methodist Church (919-60th Street). Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00AM until the time of services. Burial at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
Susan (Halmo) Carter says:
I just wanted to tell the family that to this day, Pat’s humor lives on as we quote her on almost a daily basis. Her little comments & jokes carried us through the daily grind & a new generation of Jockey employees laugh through their day. She has left a lasting impression on me that I will never forget. And I will never forget her. We love you Mema! And now it was God’s turn to say “Hey Grace, come in by Betty”. Rest in Peace
