Patricia Simmons, a longtime resident of Kenosha, passed away at Hospice Alliance Hospice House on June 1st 2025. She was 83.
Patricia was born to parents Edward and Irene Decremer in Dykesville Wisconsin. She spent her early years in the Dykesville area and was educated in local schools. At age 19, she moved to Kenosha and was married to Howard Johnson for the next 22 years. Though they were later divorced, they were blessed with 3 children, Shari, Debbie, and Paul. Patricia was then married to William Simmons for 22 years until his passing, before meeting and falling in love with Tim Brown. The two were married in Kenosha in 2011.
Patricia worked for 27 years as an Insurance Professional for Prudential in downtown Kenosha, a career she was passionate about. She was a proud member of Professional Insurance Women of America, earning distinction as Insurance Professional of the Year. After her retirement from Prudential and not content to sit on her laurels, Patricia worked as an Administrative Assistant for CTC Trucking and Centrisys before finally retiring for good and enjoying the fruits of her labor.
In her spare time, Patricia loved crocheting, reading, tending to her flower garden, and playing Euchre and Bridge at the Moose Lodge. She and Tim wintered for many years together in Clearwater, FL.
Patricia is survived by her husband Tim Brown, children Shari (John) Egan, Debbie (Kevin) Koontz, Paul Johnson, and her step-daughter Sara Aken. She is further survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 more great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Angela and Armella, and her husband of 22 years Bill Simmons.
Services for Patricia will be held on Monday June 9th, 2025, at St. Matthews Episcopal Church (5900 7th Ave, Kenosha) at 4pm. Visitation with the family will take place from 3pm until the time of service.
