Orren T. Dutton, age 93 a resident of Kenosha died Thursday October 18, 2018 at Brookside Care Center. Born on April 8, 1925 in Racine WI, he was the son of the late Forest and Myrtle Dutton. He was educated locally and was a 1952 graduate of UW Madison. He served in the US Army from 1943-1946 and was in the 66th Signal Battalion and the 82nd Airborne in the European and Pacific Theatres. On June 27, 1953 he married Barbara Jo “Bobby” Newby in Kokomo Indiana. His career began in the insurance business in Indiana and Ohio. He was a partner in a corporation that owned Shady Lawn East and Shady Lawn West Nursing Homes, as well as the Casino Townhouse Restaurant in Kenosha. He enjoyed hunting and playing bridge and doing outside lawn work. He was an avid reader and loved spending time with their dogs.
He is survived by his wife of Kenosha; nieces Ellen Sturycz, her children Ross and Sarah (Adam) Schweitzer, and Lisa (Tim) Chudada, and son, Logan. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Orvis W. Dutton; a sister Ulen (Earl) Howe, and a nephew Wayne Dutton.
Private services are scheduled.
The family would like to thank Visiting Nurses, and the staff of Brookside Care Center for their compassionate care. Memorials to either St. Matthews Episcopal Church, or to Safe Harbor Humane Society would be appreciated.
