Mollie Bertana (1923 – 2010)

Mollie Esther Bertana, age 87 a resident of Kenosha, died Friday July 23rd 2010 at her residence after a long illness.

Born on March 3rd 1923 in Lincoln Nebraska, she was the daughter of the late John P. and Katherine (Kaiser) Mauter.

Esther worked in various places in retail and at Shady Lawn Nursing Home throughout her career. She was full of life and fun and willing to help anyone who needed it. She was a great mom and will be dearly missed. God blessed her in this life and will be with her forever.

She is survived by her daughter Marlene Larson, her sister Sophie Cokenhower, her step daughter Sue Mutchie, her neighbors Wendy and Mike Stenholt and the girls, and many generations of niece’s nephews and friends. She is further survived by her special friends, Jeanette, Jeannine and Carol.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Louis Larson Sr., her husband Ranio “Nave” Bertana, her stepsons Louis Larson Jr. and Russ Larson, and her sisters Lydia Maheras, Marie Murray, Katherine Walraven, Millie Berry, Freida Mauter and Rudy.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 28th 2010 at 10:00AM at Holy Nativity Lutheran Church in Kenosha. (2213-17th Avenue) Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday evening at the church for 5:00PM until 7:00PM. Burial will take place at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
