Mimeko Nakata, age 82 died Monday April 18, 2005 at Brookside Care Center.
Born on August 17, 1922 in Los Angeles CA, she was the daughter of the late Kametaro and Tori (Fukasawa) Katow.
On January 13, 1945 she married Sho John Nakata in Chicago.
She was a master barber for many years, and together with her husband owned and operated Sho & Mims Barber Shop in Chicago.
She is survived by one daughter Lin Nakata of Kenosha; three grandchildren; James (Phuong) Sharp of Sunnyvale CA; Lynn (Tim) Halmar of Milw. WI; John (Tricia) Sharp of Sheboygan WI, 6 great grandchildren and one sister Yo Fujita of Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Teru Imamura.
A memorial service has been planned for Saturday April 23, 2005 at 11:00AM in the Southport Room at Brookside Care Center. (3506-Washington Road)
