Scott Fitzer says:
I have a special story about my Uncle Mike. When I was a little boy he gave me a $.50 coin. It was like receiving a million dollars and to this day, I still have it. It meant something to me. I only hope he knew how much. My Mom (sister Linda) always told me stories about him when he was little and all the family get together throughout the years. She loved him. He was the baby of the Howes family. I hope he knows how much he will be missed by all. When someone leaves us we never really get over our loss. My heart goes out to his immediate and extended families. Love, Scott and Christine Fitzer

My uncle Mike is from a long time back like the 70’s and 80’s when I was growing up and visiting my cousins on holidays. Uncle Mike is a kind hearted man and always stayed in touch with me on Facebook. He was gentle, kind, and had the best smile. Erica and Jason- much love to you both. To all of his family and all who loved him.. my heart is with you.
Debbie Newton says:
My Uncle Mike was a great guy! I remember Howes family get togethers when I was younger and he was always so fun and caring to his nieces and nephews. My parents told me stories of when he used to live with them after my Grandma died when he was a teenager. He was close to my dad and I know how hard it was on him losing his older brother Al, my dad recently. I hope he is giving him a great big hug from all of us! Uncle Mike will be greatly missed. Sending love to all of his family during this difficult time.

Mike was a special person he was kind generous and lovable. I remember the times when he would come and visit Al and myself Florida. We loved those times and he and Al would golf almost every day. One of my favorite memories is when we all went to the Lake County Fair. There was Kyle, Nathaniel, Braedon and Reid and the four of us. We always looked forward to this event every year. Both Al and I loved Mike very much. He will be missed but I can see it now both Al and him in heaven golfing. He will always be in our hearts. My prayers go out to you and all of the family.
