Michael A. Schaaf

Michael Allen Schaaf, age 62, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on March 5, 2026. Mike grew up in Hancock Michigan and was the tenth child of his parents Donald and Jean Schaaf. 

He spent most of his adult life in Kenosha WI where he worked at S&F Machining and Finishing. He was a skilled jack of all trades ready to help any of his many friends and family. Mike was a proud Grandpa and enjoyed camping, NASCAR, and spending time with his girlfriend, Cassie. The most important people in his life were his family and his proudest moment was the day he became a grandpa! 

He is survived by his children, Cassandra (Philip) Runge and Justin (Kayla) Schaaf; granddaughters, Dorothy, Daisy, and Jade; siblings, Mary (Dewey) Moreau, Sue (Louise) Schaaf, Jim (Alice) Schaaf, Joyce (Steve) Belopavlovich, Karen (Rick) Gagnon, Terry (Bobbie) Schaaf, Joan (Larry) Weeks, Linda (Dan) Gibson, and Judy (Terry) McCormick; and girlfriend, Cassie Marquissee. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Jack (Linda) Schaaf, Donna (Bill) Currier, and Mark Schaaf.

A memorial and burial will take place in Hancock, MI in the summer. Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
