Maxine Bjork

Maxine Bjork (Nee Guerra) passed away on September 9^th, 2024. She was 79 years old.

Maxine was born to parents Nicholas Guerra and Marie Scott in Kenosha Wisconsin. She was Educated in Kenosha schools and on June 5^th, 1970, married William Bjork in Waukegan Illinois. The two were blessed with 3 children, and Maxine’s full-time responsibility was to care for them.

In her spare time, Maxine loved taking rides out to the county with her husband, especially in the fall so they could see the leaves change. She also loved bingo and thrift shopping, but above all she loved spending time with her family.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Shane, daughter Sheila, granddaughter Heather, sister Betty, and brothers Nick and Michael.

Maxine is survived by her daughter Roxanne (Dennis Reece) Bjork, a brother Tony Guerra, sisters Irene Morris (Robert Reed), Donna York, Judy (Mike) Haschker, Roxanne (Mark) Trantow, Barb (Donald) Feczko, and grandchildren Jalissa Mullins, Alexis Reece, Dennis Reece Jr, and Sean Tufnell. She is further survived by great-grandchildren Ahlie Hodge and Jayden Kreamalmyer.

Maxine will be laid to rest in the waters of Lake Michigan in 2025.
