Mary Viola Geurts (1924 – 2007)

Mary Viola Geurts, age 82, resident of Kenosha, formerly of Racine, died Sunday March 4, 2007 at Kenosha Care Center Nursing Home.

She was born April 4, 1924 to Viggo and Anna Nielsen in Racine.

She married Matthew Geurts in May 1950 in Chicago Illinois.

She is survived by three brothers, Harold Nielsen of Arkansas, B. Arthur (Karen) Nielsen of Racine, and Holger Nielsen of Racine; one sister Betty Cihler of Racine; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband in 1986, her parents, one sister Agnes McMahan, two brothers Carl Nielsen and Reuben Nielsen.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 9, 2007 at 9:00AM at Westlawn Memorial Park Chapel in Racine. Burial will follow.
