Mary Fresen (1935 – 2006)

Mary E. (Scholz) Fresen, age 70, a resident of Racine died Tuesday February 21, 2006 at her residence.

Born on March 21, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Best) Vassh.

She was educated in the schools of Racine, and was a graduate of St. Catherine?s High School.

She had been employed by A.C.M.I., Banta, O&H Bakery and Doyle Lithographics. She retired from A.C.M.I on June 4, 2004.

She was a long time member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Racine.

She loved baking, cooking, crocheting and card playing.

She is survived by two sons; Robert J. Scholz and Scott A.(Patty) Scholz, both of Racine WI; one daughter Kim Marie Scholz of Racine WI; one granddaughter Michelle E. Scholz; one great grand daughter; three sisters, Rosemary (Russell) Nelson of Madison WI; Dolores (John) Verwey of Las Vegas NV; sister Sandra (John) Clark of Racine WI; sister in law Laverne (Larry) Koleski of Racine; sister in law Sandi Vassh of Racine and special friend James C. Scholz and a loving pet Daisy Mae.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Andrew and John Vassh and sister Patricia Vance.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday February 24, 2006 at 11:00AM at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Racine. Visitation will take place on Friday at the church from 10:00AM until the time of mass. Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
