Marvin Conrad Seeger was born in Racine WI. His parents were John and Dorothy Seeger. They had nine children. One girl, Elaine and eight boys, Gilbert, Harold, LeRoy, Norman, John, Allen, Marvin, and Jerry. Allen and Elaine were twins. He was a past member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church. He was employed at American Motors and retired many years ago on disability.
Marvin had some setbacks during his life. As a young man, he was on his motor cycle when another vehicle crossed over and hit him head on causing very serious injuries to him. Not too long after he lost his younger brother Jerry in an accident. Marvin was then living at home with his parents. Then, not too long later his father John was about to reach the age of 65 and could retire, but did not make it. He had a heart attack and died in December. Then Marvin and his mother lived together and took care of each other. Then his mother needed more care so she went to St. Catherine?s nursing home. Marvin then went to Danish American Home and the residents there became his family. He loved it there. Home cooking and being able to walk to Shopko. Later he moved to St. Monica?s where he had a new family that took goodcare of him.
When he was well, he loved to ride his bike. He loved to ride to Kenosha; however he had two bikes stolen.
Marvin was very quiet and a man of few words. He never complained or asked for anything. If you asked him how he was, he would always say okay. He got along fine with everyone.
He enjoyed smoking and meeting with other smokers. But other smokers would say he did not have much to say.
While at St. Monica?s, he would enjoy getting cards from people at Danish American and everyone there would sign the cards.
Marvin was preceded in death by his father and mother John and Dorothy Seeger, brothers Gilbert, Harold, and Jerry, sister Elaine Olson, and sister-in-law Gail Seeger.
He is survived by brothers LeRoy (Marion) Seeger, Norman and Doris Seeger, John (Joyce) Seeger, Allen (Gail) Seeger; sister-in-law Doris (Gilbert), Carrie (Harold); and brother-in-law Vern (Marie) Seeger; and many nieces and nephews.
