Martha Lea Spoor, age 91 a resident of Kenosha died Wednesday May 17, 2006 at
Brookside Care Center.
She was born on July 14, 1914 in Kenosha to the late Leo and Nellie (Lovejoy) Spoor.
She attended Kenosha schools and after high school went overseas to work as a secretary for the civil service during the occupation in Japan and Austria.
When she returned, she worked for Coopers/Jockey for many years as the executive secretary to Ralph Cooper.
She belonged to Eastern Star and played organ for them for many years. She also belonged to DAR.
She is survived by many loving cousins; Judy Testard, Barbara Hunt, Pam Ryan, Lea Ann Wente, Gretchen Mohr, Giddy Schrieber, Mary Schrafnagel and Burdine Miller.
As per her wishes, there will be private family services. She asks that you remember her playing the piano.
The family asks that memorial donations be made to Hospice Alliance.
The family wishes to thank Brookside Care Center for their excellent care over the years and to Hospice for their kindness and help in the last few months. Special thanks to Dr. Borman who meant so much to Martha Lea and went over and above the call of duty as her doctor.
