Martha Kling (1919-2017)

          Martha Kling, age 97, a resident of Racine passed away on January 12^th 2017 at Ridgewood Care Center in Racine.

          Martha was born in Mason City, Iowa on January 18^th, 1919 to Henry and Mary (Lauban) Borger. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially a good game of cards with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also an avid reader.

          Martha is survived by her daughter Marilyn (Charles) Engel of Mount Pleasant and by her grandchildren Cynthia (Tony) Burchyett, Lisa Watson, Randy Engel and Scott Engel. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Emily Burchyett, Jacob Burchyett, and Marrissa (Nathan) Drapalla and by her great-great grandchildren Roman Drapalla and Marilyn Drapalla.

          Preceding Martha in death were her parents and her brothers Alex, Henry, Gottfried and Jacob Borger.

          Committal services for Martha will be held later at Mound Cemetery.

          A special thank you to the staff of Ridgewood Care Center who took such loving care of Martha for the last ten years.
