Mark Marano, 63 years old, of Kenosha, passed away on Tuesday June 11, 2019 at his home with his family by his side. Born on May 25, 1956 in Kenosha, he was the son of the late Carmine and Dora (Villani) Marano.
A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was a 1974 graduate of Tremper High School.
On May 24, 1980, he married Lora Petravicius at St. Peter Catholic Church. He was employed by American Motors until he partnered with his brother founding M&P Excavating in 1989.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church where he was active with the summer festival. He was an avid golfer, enjoying that time spent with friends. He also loved to hunt and fish. He was a huge Packer fan. What he enjoyed most however was the time he spent with family and his pride and joy, his grandson.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Lora of Kenosha, two daughters, Carly (Robert) Morrone of Kenosha, and Mallory Marano of Pleasant Prairie, grandson, Giovanni Morrone, brother, Peter (Shirley) Marano of Kenosha, four sisters, Gina (Paul) Schulz of Waukesha, Carla (Jose) Ponce, Diane (David) Leiting, Lori (Peter) Martin, all of Kenosha, in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday June 17, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church (1919 54th Street). Visitation will be on Monday at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of mass. Burial will follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Children’s Hospital of WI (NICU) would be appreciated by the family.
