Marcelo Aguilar, a resident of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly on February 16th, 2025. He was 79 years old. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Marcelo was born in Rio Grande, Mexico, to loving parents Baltazar and Evangelina Aguilar. He spent the first part of his life close to family in Mexico, and married the love of his life, Pascuala Mares, in July of 1968. The two were blessed with three sons, Baltazar, Marcelo, and Ismael. The family relocated to Kenosha in 1978 so Marcelo could work for Kenosha Beef. He spent many years there as Manager. He also worked for beloved Kenosha burger place The Spot as a porter. He officially retired in 2020 to spend time with his grandchildren and his wife.
In his spare time Marcelo loved woodworking, spending time with his grandchildren, watching the news on YouTube, playing Solitaire, and eating chocolate.
Marcelo is survived by his wife of 56 years Pascuala, his sons Baltazar, Marcelo, and Ismael, and his grandchildren Mia, Ana Lisa, Gabriel, Sophia, Hailey, and Alejandro. He is further survived by his siblings Olga Rejis, Polo Aguilar, and Hugo Aguilar, all of whom live in Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Marcelo’s Life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025, at Immanuel United Methodist Church (5410 Sheridan Road). Visitation with the family will take place from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, with a prayer service to follow.
Marcelo Aguilar, residente de Kenosha, falleció inesperadamente el 16 de febrero de 2025. Tenía 79 años. Todos los que lo conocieron lo extrañaremos muchísimo.
Marcelo nació en Río Grande, México, de padres amorosos Baltazar y Evangelina Aguilar. Pasó la primera parte de su vida cerca de su familia en México y se casó con el amor de su vida, Pascuala Mares, en julio de 1968. Los dos fueron bendecidos con tres hijos, Baltazar, Marcelo e Ismael. La familia se mudó a Kenosha en 1978 para que Marcelo pudiera trabajar para Kenosha Beef. Allí pasó muchos años como Gerente. También trabajó como portero para la querida hamburguesería Kenosha, The Spot. Se jubiló oficialmente en 2020 para pasar tiempo con sus nietos y su esposa.
En su tiempo libre a Marcelo le encantaba trabajar la madera, pasar tiempo con sus nietos, ver las noticias en YouTube, jugar al solitario y comer chocolate.
A Marcelo le sobreviven su esposa Pascuala durante 56 años, sus hijos Baltazar, Marcelo e Ismael, y sus nietos Mía, Ana Lisa, Gabriel, Sophia, Hailey y Alejandro. Le sobreviven sus hermanos Olga Rejis, Polo Aguilar y Hugo Aguilar, todos los cuales viven en México.
Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres.
Se llevará a cabo una celebración de la vida de Marcelo el sábado 1 de marzo de 2025 en la Iglesia Metodista Unida Immanuel (5410 Sheridan Road). El velorio con la familia se llevará a cabo de 4:00 p. m. a 6:00 p. m., seguido de un servicio de oración.
