Kayla and I roomed together for a short time at Parkside. In that short time, I learned about what an amazingly sweet and talented girl she was. We didn’t talk much, but every one of our conversations she talked to me about her life, her loves, and gave me advice. I remember how we both brought our beloved childhood stuffed animals to sleep with, even at college. I wish she had the time left on earth to become a social worker like she wanted, or to keep creating art. She had the brilliance of the stars. Rest in peace sweet girl. Prayers for the family. It’s not my place to mourn, but I will forever leave a please for her in my heart.

sending love. kayla was so accepting and kind. she helped me through my own hard times. she was someone who’s life i could relate to solely because we were in the system at the same time. we understood eachother from that standpoint. she was amazing and i wish things could be different. she deserves nothing but peace after everything. I love you and miss you kayla ♥️. there will not be a day where i don’t think about you and how much of a strong person you were. sending my condolences to your family. ♥️
