Kathleen Jane Nighbor, age 91 a resident of Pleasant Prairie, died Monday February 21st, 2016 at United Hospital Systems Kenosha.
Kathleen was born June 5th, 1924 in Berlin Wisconsin to Ben and Leocadia (Ceman) Thomas. She was educated in the schools of Berlin and on November 29, 1947, she was united in marriage with Donald John Nighbor. The couple moved to Kenosha in 1966.
Kathleen was a wonderful homemaker. She loved to play cards, bingo and Yahtzee in her spare time.
She is survived by her sons Thomas D. Nighbor, Paul (Sue) Nighbor and Bartholomew Nighbor and by her daughters Kathleen Scott and Jane (Charlie) Clemons, 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren. In addition she is survived by her siblings Larry (Phyllis) Thomas of Florida, Thomas J. (Judy) Thomas of Redgranite Wisconsin, Rosemary Huser and Joan Nicholaisen and sister in law Gretchen Thomas all of Berlin Wisconsin.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Donald in 1992, and her brothers Jim Thomas and Ken Thomas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday February 24th 2016 at 11:00AM at St. Josephs Home in Pleasant Prairie. Visitation with the family will take place on Wednesday at St. Josephs from 10:00AM until the time of mass. Burial will take place on Thursday at 11:00AM at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Berlin WI.
