Karla Rae Ruffalo

Karla Ruffalo, age 70, walked through Heaven’s door to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 28th surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born September 2nd, 1954 in Racine, WI to the late Herluf and Arlene (Bakken) Nielsen. She graduated from William Horlick High School in 1972.

She married the love of her life, Dominic Ruffalo, on September 20th, 1997 in Kenosha.

Karla worked for Willkomm Excavating and Cape Construction in the accounting department for many years.

Karla has been known for her steadfast love of God and compassion to help those around her. She attended Kenosha Bible Church and was involved in the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. She was passionate about reading, journaling, and the genealogy of her family.

Karla will be greatly missed by her family and those who carry on her legacy. She is survived by her husband, Dominic Ruffalo, sons, Travis (Paula) Ptaschinski, Alex Ruffalo, Andy (Leslie) Ruffalo, one daughter, Carrie (Mike) Borst and “daughter grand-daughter” Arianna Freeman. She is further survived by fourteen grandchildren, one sister Karen (Anthony) D’Alie as well as nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Linda Nielsen and her daughter Sara Ptaschinski.

A celebration of life will be held in her honor on Friday October 4th, 2024, at 10:00AM at Kenosha Bible Church (5405 67th Street). Prior to that a visitation will be held before the service from 8:30AM until the time of service.  A private burial will take place at St. George Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Billy Graham Evangelical Association would be appreciated.
