Karen Theresa King, of McHenry, IL, passed away on July 26, 2022, in her daughters’ home surrounded by her loving family.
Karen was born on December 21, 1954, in Cold Spring Harbor, New York. She was an avid crafter, specializing in knitting and crocheting beautiful blankets and sweaters for her family. She loved spending time with family, being outdoors in the summer, listening to live music, and especially being with her grandchildren and fur-grandchildren. Survivors include her mother: Arline (O’Donnell) Kurtzke; siblings: Joe (Jill), Lorraine, Cheryl (Brian) and JoAnne (Mike); children: Jennifer Gibson (Rich Furloni) and Stephanie King (Cody Wilson); grandchildren: Daniel, Joshua, Emmalyn, Kristy, AJ, CJ and several nieces and nephews. Karen was preceded in death by her father Joseph Kurtzke.
A celebration of life will be a private family event with a date TBD.
