Judith Lynn Bartel (1945-2015)

Judith Lynn Bartel, age 70, formerly of Kenosha, late of Boxsprings GA, died Saturday July 4^th 2015 in Columbus GA with her family by her side.

Judith was born January 2^nd, 1945 in Kenosha to Harry I. and Elizabeth (Simmons) Copen. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha and on March 3^rd, 1961, she was united in marriage with Dennis J. Bartel Sr. in DuBuque Iowa.

Judith and Dennis raised five children together. Judith was a wife and a homemaker. She cherished her family, and they in turn adored her. After his death, she moved to Georgia in 2000.

Judith is survived by her children, Anna (Kay Evans) Bartel of Georgia, Toni (Dean Sr. ) Klassy of New Mexico, Harry (Marcy) Bartel of Virginia, and Tammi Bartel of Arizona. In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren, Connie (Tim) White, Dean Jr. (Nicole) Klassy, Shawna (Dawn) Klassy, Heather (Armando) Delgado, Jonathon (Chelsea) Bartel, Tyasia Robles, Tymaira (Aaron) Olney, Savannah Linwood and Olivia Linwood and by her great grandchildren Gabrial, Marcus, Carmen, Selena, Justice, Liberty, Honor, Anthony and Aurora. Judith is also survived by her step mother Joan Copen and her sister Gina Copen.

Preceding Judith in death were her parents, her husband Dennis Bartel Sr., her sister Jan and her son Dennis Bartel Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 9^th 2015 at 11:00AM at the Woman’s Club of Kenosha. (6028-8^th Avenue across from Library Park in downtown Kenosha) Visitation with the family will be on Thursday at the Woman’s Club from 10:30 AM until the time of services. Burial will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
