Joyce Petit (1923 – 2011)

Joyce Petit, age 87 a resident of Pleasant Prairie passed away Sunday February 6, 2011 at Grand Prairie Health and Rehab.

Joyce was born on October 16, 1923 to Arthur and Laura (Poeller) Bleicher in Kenosha. She moved to and was educated in the schools of Fond du lac. She returned to Kenosha as a young woman. On November 6, 1952 she married Vernon Petit at St. Mark Catholic Church. Joyce was a telephone operator at the telephone company, the Frost Company and at American Motors. She was a long time member of St. Mark Catholic Church and formerly of Christian Women.

Joyce is survived by several cousins.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and one son David in 2010.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday February 12, 2011 at 11:00AM at St. Mark Catholic Church. (7117-14th Avenue) Visitation with the family will be on Saturday at the church from 9:30AM until the time of mass. Inurnment will take place at All Saints Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Mark Catholic Church would be appreciated.
