Joyce M. Gaudio, age 93, of Kenosha passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Hospice Alliance – Hospice House. Joyce was born on November 3, 1925 in Racine to Benjamin and Ernestine (Walters) Brooder. Joyce married Joseph Gaudio on July 13, 1946 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Joseph and Joyce were blessed with a marriage of 72 years. Joyce worked for Simmons Mattress Co., American Motors and Kenosha Hospital where she worked in the O.B. unit. Joyce retired from Kenosha Hospital after 31 years of dedicated service. Joyce especially enjoyed caring for her husband, children and grandchildren. Joyce loved reading, knitting blankets, relaxing in the sun and shopping with her girls.
She was preceded in death by, her parents, her sister, Barbara, her great granddaughter, Briella Rocha, nephew, Chris Brooder and her brother, Benjamin “Benji” Brooder.
Joyce is survived by, her husband, Joseph Gaudio of Kenosha, three sons, Dominic Gaudio, Joseph (Julie) Gaudio and Michael (Joan) Gaudio all of Kenosha. Four daughters, Kathy (Greg) Dewitz, Karen (Mark) Montague, Carol (Dan) Ouimet and Lisa Gaudio all of Kenosha. Joyce has 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Joyce is survived by her brother Louis (Red) Brooder and several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Joyce’s wishes, services were privately held.
