Josephine Perez

Josephine “Josie” Perez, went home to Jesus on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at her residence, Woods of Caledonia Assisted Living; she was 76.  She was the last child born to Ursulo and Luz (Ontiveros) Perez in Estill, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Theresa, Mary, & Romana Perez, two brothers, Joseph and Luis Perez, one niece, Christine Vargas and one nephew, Jason Perez. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and one sister-in-law, Kathryn Perez of Kenosha.

Josie will forever be remembered for her gentle and kind spirit. She had great sewing skills and used to make Raggedy Ann & Andy dolls for her nieces. She enjoyed fresh flowers, coloring books, doing puzzles and reading. We will miss weekly lunches with Josie, which was always for her favorite meal of chicken tacos, rice and refried beans.

A grave side service will be held on Tuesday, April 18^th at 10:00am followed by a luncheon honoring Josie. The luncheon will be held in the community room at 1940 27th Ave- (Villa Ciera)
