John Parker McGuinness, age 55 a resident of Wadsworth, IL, passed away Saturday June 9, 2018 with family by his side at Froedtert South St. Catherine’s Medical Campus, after a courageous battle with cancer.
John was born on August 7, 1962 in Waukegan, IL to Joseph Zarr and Linda Parker. He married Maria Delgado on August 20, 2016 in Las Vegas, NV. John owned and operated a successful independent commercial painting business for more than 20 years. He was a sports fanatic who was always rooting for the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. John enjoyed spending his days on the golf course and nights at home with his wife Maria and dog Lola.
John was preceded in death by, nephew, James in 2016; maternal grandparents, Elton and Ruth Parker; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Bernice McGuinness; and uncle, Robert Parker.
John is survived by, wife, Maria Delgado-McGuinness of Wadsworth, IL parents, William and Linda Kamholz of Beach Park, IL; son, Jason (Jessica) McGuinness of Plainfield, IL; step-son, Paul Villarreal of Ciudad Juárez, Mexico; brother, Thomas, (Susan) McGuinness of Kenosha, WI; niece Kate McGuinness of Kenosha, WI; Great Dane, Lola; as well as many friends.
A memorial service will be held on Monday June 18, 2018 at 6:30PM at Journey Church, 10700 75th Street, Kenosha, WI, 53142. A visitation with the family will be held at the church prior to the service on Monday at 5:30PM.
