John Dargin (1921 – 2006)

John A. Dargin, age 84 a resident of Racine died Monday January 2, 2006 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Racine.

Born on June 25, 1921 he was the son of the late William and Erna (Roethig) Dargin.

On July 9, 1954 in Bessemer MI, he married Patricia L. Frye. They moved to the Racine area shortly after.

He served in the US Army and was stationed in the South Pacific.

For 30 years he was employed by Young Radiator retiring in 1977. He then worked for 18 years at the Racine Zoological Society.

He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Racine. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed his many trips to the Mississippi River with his wife and children.

He is survived by his wife Patricia of Racine; one son John Dargin of Eau Claire WI; one daughter Martha Dargin of Racine; one granddaughter Katrina Nelson of Racine and one sister Armella Hansche of Racine.

He was preceded in death by his parents two brothers William and James; one sister Ruth; and one ? sister Mae.

A memorial service will be held on Friday January 6, 2005 at 10:30AM at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Racine. (725-High Street) Visitation will be on Friday at the church from 10:00AM until service time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated with the intention of forwarding them to either Emmanuel Lutheran Church or Health Care Network.
