John “Jack†F. Cahill, a resident of Kenosha, died Thursday June 24, 2010 at Brookside Care Center.
John was born in Ansonia, CT on December 13, 1915 to the late John F. and Margaret (Shallue) Cahill. They moved to Kenosha in 1923. On March 1, 1938 John married Evelyn Addie Haase. On March 31, 1943 John and Evelyn welcomed daughter, Kathleen Marie. Evelyn passed away January 22, 1986. On November 17, 1990 John married Josephine Domenk. She preceded him in death in 1996. John was a long time resident at Lakeside Towers where he shared a special friendship with Lillian Ventura.
John is survived by his grandchildren Michelle (Eric) Krueger of Cedarburg, Judith Merryfield of Cedarburg, and Michael Gayhart of Cudahy. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Jeffrey Krueger, Jared Krueger, Tracy Merryfield, Taylor Merryfield and Tom Merryfield. John is further survived by his niece Beverly Hartman of Kenosha, and his great nephews and great nieces.
John was preceded in death by his parents, wife Evelyn, wife Josephine, daughter Kathleen on June 4, 2002 and his siblings, Robert and Alice.
John was a master plumber by trade and owned his own company. He retired from AMC.
John loved aviation and woodworking. He attended the EAA Fly-in every year in Oshkosh. John was a very active man, was a huge Cubs fan and enjoyed spending time with his friend Lillian and family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Brookside Care Center (3506 Washington Rd Kenosha) or St. Elizabeth Catholic Church (4816 7th Ave Kenosha) would be appreciated.
