Jesse Anthony Aguilera, age 88, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2024, at Froedtert South Hospital in Pleasant Prairie, WI after suffering a major stroke over the weekend.
Jesse was born in Chicago, IL to the late Timoteo and Dolores (Rodriquez) Aguilera. He was raised in and graduated from high school in Angel Guardian Orphanage in Chicago, IL. He married Sandra (Cameron) Hagland December 4, 1993, at Calvary Presbyterian Church In Round Lake, IL. Jesse and Sandra were lovingly married until his death. Jesse and Sandy moved to Carol Beach Estates in Pleasant Prairie, WI in 1998. After being retired from his first job for 30 years In Crystal Lake, IL he and Sandra purchased Minuteman Press in Kenosha, WI which they owned and operated for 20 years, they sold their business in January 2020 to enjoy (his second) and their retirement. Jesse was involved in his community through many business groups and organizations. He was an avid contributor to the Kenosha News Voice of the people with many letters to the Editor which people expressed how they appreciated what he wrote.
Jesse was a people person that warmed everybody’s soul with his infectious laugh and smile.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Aguilera, her daughter Patty (Hagland) Shutt, granddaughter Corrina Domine and great daughter Luna Domine as well as his children from his previous marriage to Jackie Bower: Victoria (Jay) Nelson, Elizabeth Thomas, Jennifer (Joe) Roberts, Amy (Tim) Cook and Andrew (Bryann) Aguilera; grandchildren: Jerry (Julie) Janquart, Nick (Gemma Petrie) Janquart, Megan Nelson, Joel (Adrienne) Nelson, Noel Thomas, Brandon Haney, Chris (Nicole) Haney, Ashley (Ben) Tippey, Zachary (Jenna) Hoggard, Nicole Roberts, Alex (Madison) Cook, Cameron (Kayla) Cook, Zoe (William) Monaghan, and Avianna Aguilera; great grandchildren: Laney and Logan Janquart, Walter Petrie-Janquart, Nathan and Mason Haney, Kylee, Alexa, Ryan, and Lincoln Tippey, Cayden Hoggard, and Nate and Athena Cook a brother: Arthur Aguilera; as well as many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Timoteo and Dolores (Rodrigeuz) siblings: Florence Aguilera, Lupe Calderon, Valerie Oliva; and son in law: Larry Thomas.
The family would like to thank the Pleasant Prairie Paramedics, Froedtert South emergency Department, ICU floor and Hospice Alliance for taking such great care of Jesse during his final days. A very special thank you to all the friends, neighbors and relatives for all their support, kindness and prayers during this difficult
time.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
