Jerry J. Sladek, age 77 a resident of Kenosha, died Wednesday April 19, 2017 at his residence.
Jerry was born on April 21, 1939 in Marshfield to John and Malinda (Andregg) Sladek. He was educated in the schools of Marshfield and enlisted in the Marines right after graduation.
Jerry was a very proud Marine and he competed as a boxer while he was in the service. His love of boxing continued his whole life and he was also an avid Packer and Brewer fan.
He was a longtime employee of AMC/Chrysler, working first as a machinist and then as a security guard. Jerry was a great dad and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by his children Larry (Kim) Sladek of Pleasant Prairie, Lori (Jim) Madison and Lisa Sladek, both of Kenosha. He is further survived by his beloved grandchildren, Chelsea Sladek, Zach Sladek, Kayla Sladek, Erik Puckett, Malinda Madison and Noah Dickinson.
Preceding Jerry in death were his parents, and his sister JoAnn Degroot.
Funeral services with full military honors will be held on Sunday April 23, 2017 at 2:00PM at the Kemper Center Founders Hall (6501 3rd Avenue). Visitation with the family will be on Sunday in Founders Hall from 1:00PM until the time of services. Inurnment will take place at Southern WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery later.
In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.
