Jerry Bateman Sr. (1954 – 2007)

Jerry W. Bateman Sr., age 53, a resident of Racine, died Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare ER in Racine WI.

Jerry was born on November 18, 1954 in Chicago to Walter and Mary (Evans) Bateman.

He was an avid sports fan. He called everyone ?Babe?. He loved his children very much.

He is survived by three sons Jerry Jr., of Antioch, Andrew of Cicero, and Marlon of Antioch; two daughters Michelle (Guy) Bleashka of Racine WI and Jolene Bateman of Skokie; a granddaughter Alyssa Lunn; his mother Mary Bateman of Hickman KY; four brothers Terry (Darlene) of Cicero, Perry (Robin) of Willowbrook, Kerry (Carleen) of Chicago, and Rocky of Hickman KY; two sisters Shiela (Stan) Skord of Antioch, and Cynthia Bateman of Hickman KY. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews, and his girlfriend Linda Marks.

He was preceded in death by his father Walter, a son James, a daughter Julie, and a brother Danny.

Per Jerry?s wishes, the family will be having a gathering on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 3:00pm at 1545 S. 61st. Court, Cicero, IL 60804.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
