Jeffrey Scott Karow, passed away on June 2nd, 2024, at Froedtert South in Pleasant Prairie, WI. He was born on July 14th, 1969, to Ronald and Gayle (Jillson) Karow in Illinois. On June 18th, 2011, he married his wife Taye (Barnes) in Emporia, VA. He attended Southside Virginia Community College where he earned his Associates degree in Administrations of Justice and later attended the University of Richmond in Virginia where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He worked at the Virginia Cooperative Extension: Greensville County / Emporia City Unit as a 4 – H Program assistant, educator, and shooting sports instructor for several years. He was also a professional house manager at Modlin Center for the Arts in Richmond Virgina for 6 years as well. He was a professional Civil War interpreter for the Pamplin Historical Park for many years which he loved dearly.
He loved trading Disney pins, taking care of his chickens, and spending time with his family and friends – especially his daughter.
He is survived by his wife Taye Karow, his parents Ronald and Gayle Karow, daughters: Emma Karow and Brooke Baumgarten, brothers: James Karow and Joseph Karow, nieces and nephew: Cory Karow, Jordan Karow, Nathan (Charleigh) Lucy and their daughter: Raegan, Aiden Karow, and Logan Karow, and beloved dogs: Lola & Duke, and a cat: Binx. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Roy and Matilda Karow, and Ernest Jillson Sr. and Regis.
As per the family’s wishes, services will be held privately.
