Jeffrey M. Johnson, age 57 a resident of Kenosha, died Sunday September 16, 2018 at his residence. Jeffrey was born on May 16, 1961 in Kenosha to Waldron and Carol (Martin) Johnson. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1981 and was a technical electrical equipment repairman and was honorably discharged in 1984. Jeffrey worked for Keno Cab Co. for 30 years and did some area construction truck driving. His employers all liked him because he was a good worker. Jeffrey was an avid reader especially interested in the field of thermal energy.
He was preceded in death by, his father; a sister, Wendy Johnson and his paternal grandparents, Ruben and Astrid Johnson, maternal grandparents George Martin Jr. and Vivian Steinway Simonds, and two uncles, James Molder and Theodore Martin III retired naval command master chief and Jeff’s baptismal sponsor.
Jeff is survived by, his son, Jimmy Johnson; his mother and step-father, Carol (John) Potter; a brother, David (Amy) Zoerner; his sister Nancy Zoerner Garcia; special nieces, Jennifer and Tracy Janas; (he was especially close to Tracy) and Vivian Garcia; four half-brothers, Paul and Tate Johnson and their mother Shirley Johnson; Kim and Kerry Czarnecki, nephews, Hunter, Gunnar, Christian and Brody Zoerner, and Tres Garcia. He is further survived by uncles Kendall Christman, Tom Hamilton, and one aunt Janice Prorock as well as many other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 22, 2018 at 11:00AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. (8760-37th Avenue) Full military honors will follow. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday at the church from 9:30AM until the time of services. Burial will take place on Monday September 24, 2018 at 11:00AM at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
