Jean P. Kozak

Jean P. Kozak (Migliano), age 85, of Kenosha, passed away on May 23rd, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 18th, 1939, in Kenosha to the late Joseph Migliano and Yolanda (Molinaro) Migliano. On November 8th, 1958, she married Dennis W. Kozak at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Kenosha. Together they spent 62 years of marriage until his passing in 2021.

Jean loved being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She loved cooking, decorating, and spending time with family on every holiday. Besides being a loving homemaker, Jean also retired from AMC/Chrysler in Kenosha. Jean loved traveling and made many trips to Arizona over the years to spend time with their son Dennis (Janet), grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Jean was a devoted Catholic and was extremely strong in her faith.

She is survived by her children: Denise (Kevin) Hinich, Dennis (Janet) Kozak and Joe (Shelly) Kozak, seven grandchildren, Matthew and Corey Finnigan, Dr. Dani (Andy) Kozak Joy, Kelcey (Kayleigh), Brett (Anna) and Natalie (Brian) Kozak and Mallory Finnigan; 12 great grandchildren, Denleigh, Hadleigh, Savannah, Gage, Skyler, Eden, Bryleigh, Logan, Kaydence, Wesleigh, Joseph “J.T.”, and Jovi. Jean was affectionately called “Ya Ya” by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is further survived by her sisters: Judy Cistaro and JoAnn (John) Principe, niece: Debbie Phillips, nephews: Frank Cistaro and Jon Principe, close friends: Pat Hoefflin, Pat Lukowski, Josie Cairo, and Terri Alfano, as well as many other living friends and relatives. She also cherished her relationship with cousin Adolph Migliano. She is preceded in death by her loving husband: Dennis Kozak, inlaws: Leo & Lillian Kozak, brother-in-law: Frank Cistaro, and lifelong friend: Marlene Agazzi.

The family would like to thank Horizon Healthcare and Hospice, and Dr. Takata for all their hard work, compassion, and care.

Services for Jean were held privately on Wednesday, May 28th, at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park where she was laid to rest with her husband Dennis.
