James Edward “Jimbo” Morris, a life-long Kenosha resident, died Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Aurora Medical Center Intensive Care Unit. He was born October 12, 1963 and attended local schools. In grade school he played in the CYC PeeWee football league, CYO basketball and wrestling teams. In high school he discovered his love of fishing and hunting.
He worked for many years at the Midtown Bar and Restaurant. He also worked at Ultra-Fab Machine Shop. For many years he participated in dart and pool teams.
Jimbo was a nurturer and displayed that in his garden and in his “watching out” for others who needed help. He loved the Packers, fishing shows, hunting shows, blues and jazz. Or sitting in a boat or on Lake Michigan’s rocks fishing for his next catch. He loved the family farm in Forest County.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Mary Jo and Jim Scheibl; his father and step-mother, Wayne A. and Gail Morris, St. Germain, WI; his brothers: Steve Morris, Anchorage, AK; Stephen Scheibl, Kenosha, Ray Lundquist, Wausau, WI; Buddy Lundquist, Avon, MN; his uncle Bill (Marilynn) Host, San Martin, CA; his aunts Shelley Host and Mary Bothe, Kenosha; many beloved nephews, cousins, and life-long friends.
Jimbo was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Louis Morris and Grace Morris Jessman; Ralph J. Host and Jane Host Olson Burns; his brother John, and his uncles Ralph “Jerry” Host and Ed Host.
Memorial services will be held on Friday February 11th 2011 at 6:00PM at Founders Hall at the Kemper Center in Kenosha. (6501-3rd Avenue; the south end of the building next to the auditorium) Visitation with the family will be on Friday in Founders Hall from 4PM until the time of services)
