James L. “Lucky Lindy” Lindstrom, 76, of Kenosha, went home to be with the Lord on February 21, 2018 at Hospice Alliance Hospice House with his family by his side. Jim was born on April 3, 1941 in Kenosha to Leo and Rose (Sartor) Lindstrom. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1959. Jim served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He married Renate Brekeller in Kenosha and the couple later separated. Jim was a longshoreman, journeyman tile setter, and commercial plumber. He enjoyed working on his motorcycle and drag racing. Jim was a member of the Family Worship Center in Baton Rouge, LA and his greatest joy was the time he spent studying the word of God.
He was preceded in death by, his parents.
Jim is survived by, two sons, Steve (Bonnie) Lindstrom of Arlington Heights. IL and Russ (Nikki) Lindstrom of Pleasant Prairie; four grandchildren, Zak, Jacob, Sara and Susan; three great grandchildren, Ani, Tillie and Wyatt; two sisters, Dorothy Barca and Jeanne (Roland “Ozzie”) Parsons both of Kenosha; his former wife and friend, Renate Fumich and special friend Charlie Vite as well as many other family and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Jim’s life will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kemper Center (6501 – 3rd Avenue). A visitation with the family will be held at the Kemper Center on Saturday from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service.
Jim’s family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Hospice Alliance, especially to his nurse, Faith. They would also like to extend their gratitude to Dr. John Matteucci, Dr. David Knight, Dr. Aimee Ledesma and their staffs for all the care they gave Jim.
