Jacob “Jake” Henry Keller

Jacob “Big Jake” Henry Keller, WWII Veteran and Past Commander of Dorman-Dunn Post #547, passed away peacefully at home on August 7, 2022, at the age of 100. He will be remembered as a dedicated and generous husband, father, brother, and friend.

 Big Jake is beloved husband of the late Stella of 65 years. Loving father to Don (Oralia) Keller, Dave (Connie) Keller, Diane Keller, and Jack Keller. Preceded in death by his daughter Joyce Keller. Survived by 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

 Big Jake served honorably in WWII in the Army Air Corps where he received several medals including the Philippine Liberation Medal and Distinguished Unit (Presidential) Badge. He served as Adjutant, Chaplain and eventually Commander of the American Legion, Dorman-Dunn Post #547.

 He will be so very missed, not least for his sense of humor, wit, love for music and all things collectable but also for his ability to light up a room with a “I Hear Ya!” or any other number of unforgettable sayings.
