Jack Bednar (1951 – 2010)

Jack Bednar, age 58, a resident of Racine, died on June 10, 2010 as the result of a car accident.

Jack was born October 21, 1951 in Racine WI at St. Luke?s Hospital. Jack was the son of Nancy Elizabeth (Higgins) Puffer and Harvey Glen Bednar. Harvey passed away as the result of a car accident, when Jack was 6 months old.

Jack loved working on cars and small appliances. He loved tools. Jack was a man of his own ideals and he lived his life by them. Jack was loved dearly and will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Jack is survived by his mother Nancy Elizabeth Puffer, his children Angela M (nee: Bednar) Clark, Joseph A Bednar and Kevin J Bednar. He is also survived by two sisters Susan Lee (nee: McGregor) (Jose) Ibarra and Julie Ann McGregor; two brothers James Stuart Bednar and Michael Norbert (Annette) McGregor; uncle Robert (Barb) Bednar of MN and aunts Nancy (late Norman) Knutsen and Alice (Charles) Daceno and dear friend Clay Emmons. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his father Harvey, his grandparents Gladys and Harvey Bednar Sr and William C and Florence Higgins Sr, uncle William C Higgins, aunt Evelyn Higgins and the love of his life, Dee.

Funeral services will be held on Friday June 18, 2010 at 5:00 PM at Our Saviors Lutheran Church (2219 Washington Ave.) Visitation with the family will be held on Friday at the church from 3:00 PM until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials to the family would be appreciated.
