On November 26, 2015 Iona Marie Hubbard line danced her way to heaven to join the love of her life, Clifford Eugene Hubbard.
Iona was born on Sept. 4, 1922 in Aberdeen, Washington, the daughter of Margaret and Henry Cummings. Her sisters, Francis Arlosky and Doris Kendall, preceded her in death.
She grew up in Twin Lakes,Wisconsin. Cliff and Iona married on May 24, 1947 in Kenosha and raised their children there. They later moved to Texas to become independent business owners and maintained a second home in the Kenosha area. Upon their retirement they returned to Kenosha to be with their life long friends and extended family.
Iona was blessed with a son, three daughters, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren who survive her: Clifford Franklin Hubbard and his wife, Dorothy; Patricia Verna Toth and her husband, Eddie; Darci Hubbard and her husband, Mark Volpendesta; Judy Schmidt and her husband, Dave. Grandchildren John Hubbard, Gina (Emilio) Covelli, Kristen Toth, Lauren Volpendesta, David and Daniel Schmidt. Great-grandchildren Ashley and Brandon Hubbard, Leo and Josie Covelli.
Her sisters-in-law and dear friends, Jayne Zieth and Betty Hubbard also survive her along with many wonderful nieces and their husbands, as well as great nephews and great nieces.
A private burial will take place at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
