Helen L. Rizzo, age 93 a resident of Kenosha, died Saturday June 26th 2010 at Grand Prairie Health and Rehab.
Helen was born on August 25, 1917 in Kenosha, the daughter of Peter and Filomana (Leonardi) Pascucci. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha.
In September of 1939 Helen married Angelo Rizzo at Our Lady of Holy Rosary in Kenosha who preceded her in death in 1962.
Helen was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and was a member of the Holy Rosary Mission Club and Holy Rosary Ladies Society. Helen loved to knit, bake and cook. She also loved the Chicago Cubs and the Green Bay Packers.
Helen is survived by her daughters Lucille (Don) Fox of Kenosha, Linda (Jon) Furdek of Indiana and Cindy (Carmen) Vite of Kenosha and her grandchildren Robert (Jean) Fox of Kenosha, Don (Elizabeth) Fox of Webster Grove MI, Joe (Carolyn) Furdek of Louisville KY, John Furdek of Indiana, Jennifer Vite of Texas, and Jessica Vite of Atlanta, GA. Helen is also survived by her great grandchildren Ali, Claudia, Clare, William, Patrick, Joseph, and Jack. She is further survived by a brother-in-law Ralph Zumpano, Sr and sister Rita Travanty and many loving nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Angelo, two brothers Ben Pascucci and Vito Pascucci and two sisters Mary Zumpano and Dolly Doherty.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday July 2, 2010 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church (2215 45th Street) at 1:30 PM. Visitation with the family will be held at the church on Friday July 2, 2010 from 12:30 PM until the time of services. Burial will take place at St. George catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Holy Rosary Church or Sisters of Holy Rosary would be appreciated.
