Harry L Bedore, 89, resident of Pleasant Prairie, passed away into the waiting arms of his loving wife Dixie on April 22, 2020. Harry was born October 21, 1930 in Butler County, Pennsylvania, to Michael and Elizabeth (Naugle) Bedore. He was raised and educated in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where he married the love of his life on July 22, 1950 at St. Thomas Catholic Church.
Harry and Dixie were known for their generosity of spirit and love of family and friends. Harry served our country as a Marine during the Korean War. He was a member of Iron Workers Local 8 and worked for many years with the city of Kenosha and American Motors. He enjoyed meeting his friends every morning to read and talk about the newspaper articles over a cup of coffee.
He is survived by his sister Stella Nudi of Grande Prairie Nursing Home; brothers Jim (Barbara) of North Carolina and Mike Bedore of Kenosha; lifelong close friends Lee Otis and Damien Pike, and countless other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dixie; brothers Victor, George, Donald, Jack and Richard Bedore; and sisters Shirley Zampino and Marie Morin.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with entombment alongside his wife at Union Grove Veterans Cemetery.
