Gloria Lois Waldow, age 86, a resident of Racine, died May 31, 2017 at her residence.
She was born to the late Arthur R. and Grace L. (Braund) Siegel on November 4, 1930 in the Town of Raymond. They then moved to an 80-acre farm in North Cape. In 1944, they moved to Racine. Gloria graduated from Horlick High School in 1948. She attended Spencerian Business College in Milwaukee and graduated in 1949. She worked at Hamilton Beach in the office for 5 years. On August 28, 1954, she married Jack Waldow at North Cape Lutheran Church. They moved to Ft. Knox where Jack was stationed. When he was discharged in 1955, they moved back to Racine.
She was known to be pleasant and will be missed by all who knew her. She liked eating out with friends. Gloria enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Gloria is survived by her son Ramon (Carol) Waldow of Killeen TX and daughter Ramona Waldow of Racine, her grandchildren Joseph Waldow and Sara Waldow. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren. Gloria is further survived by her sister and brother-in-law Alice Grace (Roger) Plumb of MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 7, 2017 at 11:00AM Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Racine. (2417-Drexel Avenue) Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday at the church from 10:00AM until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
