Gloria Ann Krzos (Simoncelli), age 87, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2024, with her beloved daughter by her side. She was born on September 8, 1937, to the late Vincent Simoncelli, and Celia (Langoni) in Chicago, IL. Gloria grew up in a loving home with her two older brothers, where she learned the importance of family, tradition, and community.
After completing her education from Amundsen High School, she married her loving Navy sailorman, Mark Craig on February 26, 1956. Together they traveled all over the west coast and settled down when they welcomed their beautiful daughter in 1964. Gloria embraced her role as a devoted mother, wife, and homemaker, dedicating her life to creating a warm and nurturing environment for her family.
On November 26, 1983, Gloria married the true love of her life, Stanley Krzos and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. Their main priority was spending quality time with their grandchildren, who brought so much joy into their lives.
Gloria is survived by her daughter: Diana Lynn (Harry) Koeppel, and estranged son, Mark Vincent Craig; grandchildren: Anthony Joseph (Araceli) Peterson, Valerie Lynn (Lester Alex Quispe) Peterson, Jennifer Lynn (Pedro Javier Del Sol) Koeppel, Alyssa Michelle (William Sanchez) Peterson, great-grandchildren: Kaylie Lynn Quispe, Lila Dawn Quispe, Aiden Joseph Peterson, Arion Anthony Peterson, Mateo Alexander Quispe, Cosette Michelle Del Sol, Brandon William Sanchez, Brena Lee Sanchez, Sebastian Steel Del Sol, and Aritzel Araceli Peterson.
She is preceded in death by her husband Stanley Krzos, ex-husband, Mark Craig; brothers: Vincent Simoncelli (Delores), Armand Simoncelli (Joan), and her parents.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Sage Meadow Assisted Living and Memory Care in Lake Geneva for all their love and care they showed Gloria over the years.
A prayer service will take place at the chapel of Ascension Catholic Cemetery (1920 W Buckley Rd.) in Libertyville, IL, on October 12th, at 10 A.M. A luncheon will follow for a celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, please direct any donations in Gloria’s honor to the family.
