Evelyn H. Butler, age 95, a resident of Racine, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at the Becker Shoop Center.
She was born November 29, 1911 in Morning Sun Iowa (Des Moines County) to William John and Sadie (Flege) Henderson.
She married G. Frederick Butler on July 18, 1934.
She became an RN at Burlington Hospital in Burlington Iowa, and then took post graduate studies in Obstetrics and Pediatrics in Chicago.
She moved to Racine in 1993 to be near her family. She was a 50 year member of Eastern Star and loved to travel. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by one son, Keith (Margarita) Butler of El Paso Texas; two daughters, Jean Stardy of Racine, and Lorene (Herb) Bloomer of Watertown; grandchildren, Lee Stardy, Jill (David) Mann, Laura (Mike) Kohl, and Brooke Bible; great-grandchildren Ben and Collin Kohl, and Eva Bible; one sister Fern Cox of Willis Texas; numerous other step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express special thanks to Villa St. Anna and the Becker Shoop Center for the loving care extended to our mother.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 16, 2007 at 11:00AM at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Racine with Pastor Melanie Hammond Clark Officiating. (40 Ohio Street). Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00AM until the time of services. Burial will take place in Iowa.
