Eugene C. Murphy, age 75 a resident of Kenosha, died Thursday September 29, 2005 at Sheridan Nursing Home.
Born on March 23, 1930 in Kenosha, he was the son of the late Chester and Madeline (Stoker) Murphy.
On September 9, 1953 he married Thelma M. Jensen in Kenosha.
He was employed for many years as a Quality Control Manager at American Brass in Kenosha, retiring in 1985. He was a devoted family man.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Thelma; two sons James J. (Susan) Murphy of Cumming GA, John C. (Lori) Murphy of Kenosha; one daughter Gail (Mike) Murphy of Kenosha; two grandchildren Sean and Andrew (Andy) Murphy, both of Kenosha; one brother Jerry (Joan) Murphy of TX and one sister Patricia Murphy of IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Jim and a sister Dorothy.
Private services for Mr. Murphy are scheduled at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.

I knew Gene Murphy in the early 60’s at the American Brass. He was smart and a hard worker. He once told me he grew up across the street from his school—-but, was late every morning. I remember him as a genuine good guy.
