Estelle L. Howell, age 65 a resident of Paris Township, passed away Friday March 16, 2007 at her residence after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Born on July 11, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Isabelle (Drissel) Frederick.
After her graduation from Salem Central High School, she married William L. Howell on September 19, 1959.
Estelle was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, reading, shopping and most of all spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Bill; her children, William Jr. (Donna) Howell, Kelly (Nick) Willkomm of Union Grove, Lisa (Tom) Schmeckel of Whitewater, Leonard (Sharon) Howell of Shawano, Ed ( Jody Firkus) Howell of Union Grove, M/SGT Richard Howell of Germany, and Mary (Jim) Spaight of Waterford; grandchildren, Christopher, Hope, Faith, and Emma Howell, Emily, Nicholas, and Nathan Willkomm, Lauren, Tom, Kristin, and Caitlyn Schmeckel, Brittany, Jordan, Jonathan, Joseph, Julian, and Brianna Howell, and Logan Howell, Madeline, Olivia, and John Spaight. She is further survived by two brothers, Jim (Lucille) Frederick, and Richard (Kathy) Frederick; four sisters, Carol (Charles) Fliess, Kathleen (Irvin) Kraft, Ramona Michel, and Marrietta (William) Spear; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Barb and Ron Schuler, and Betty and Bob Schultz and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Lawrence Frederick; sister-in-law Sylvia Frederick; brothers-in-law Bill Michel and Frank Olczewski; fathers-in law Lester Biehn and Leonard Howell; mothers-in-law Emma Biehn, Billie Howell, and Lena Howell.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday March 19, 2007 at 5:00PM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. (1501-172nd Avenue, Township of Paris) Visitation will be on Monday at the church from 2:00PM until the time of mass. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
The family would like to thank the Hospice Alliance staff for their kind and compassionate care for Estelle, but most of all the care, support, and kindness from Dr. Lisa Simonds will never be forgotten! God Bless you all!
