Elwood W. Beiley, age 75 a resident of Racine died Sunday April 2, 2006 at his residence.
Born on October 20, 1930 in Racine, he was the son of the late Louis and Katherine (Parsek) Beiley.
He served in the US Air Force from August 1950 until August 1954. He served in Korea from 1952 until 1953.
On February 4, 1956 in Racine, he married Virginia Balke.
Being employed by Easterday Office Supply and Remington Rand where he worked in the Office Machine Service Industry for 36 years.
He was a member Belle City Lodge No.92, Racine Council No.5, Orient Chapter No.12, Racine Commandery No.7, Life Member of DAV Racine Chapter No.9, and part of the 5th Communication Group in Korea. He enjoyed camping, hunting, and gambling.
He is survived by his wife Virginia of Racine; son Robert Beiley of Racine; two daughters Donna (William) Austin of Racine, Linda (Kevin) Mann of Racine; five grandchildren, Jason and Michael Austin, Dustin Stong, and Noah and Zachery Mann; and his beloved dog Blackie; brother Gary Beiley of Racine; and sister Geraldine (Richard) Kroupa of Racine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers-in-law Melvin and Lawrence Balke, sisters-in-law Bernadette Beiley and Marilyn Balke, and nephews Timothy Beiley and David Balke.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at 11:30am at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Union Grove.
Our family would like to give a special thank you for your support and the care you gave to Elwood at the Clement Zabolicki Veterans Medical Center, Dr. Siddiqui and Staff, Kenosha Hospice Alliance, Wanda, Samantha, and Dr. Gierahn.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to be made to the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Union Grove.
