Elizabeth “Bette” A. Flesch, age 81 a resident of Kenosha died Wednesday May 10, 2017 at United Hospital Systems Kenosha Medical Center.
Bette was born in Salem, Wisconsin on November 10, 1935 to Norman and Viola (Chamberlain) Burkee. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha and on August 6, 1955, she was united in marriage with Walfred Flesch.
Bette was employed by Roffler Hair Stylist for over 40 years. She enjoyed bowling and played in various leagues. She loved to golf and to go to casinos, but most of all, she enjoyed “family time” when she could be with her daughters and grandchildren. Bette was a beloved member of Bethany Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Wendy Flesch of Angier, North Carolina, Sandra Dahlen of New Port Richie, Florida, and Laura (David) Richards of Kenosha. Bette is further survived by her grandchildren, Rachel (Craig) Stienke, Brea (Josh) Sanders, Daniel (Amanda) Plens and Ashley (Dakota) Nehls and by her great grandchildren, Ethan Plens, Bella Sanders and Cameron Plens.
Bette was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walfred, her sisters Lois Glaser and Carol Voss, and by her brothers, Wallace Burkee and Norman Burkee.
A memorial service will be held on Monday May 15, 2017 at 11:00AM at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kenosha. Visitation with the family will be on Monday at the church from 9:30AM until the time of services. Inurnment will take place at Southern WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials to Bethany Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
