Elaine Herr (1933 – 2006)

Elaine J. Herr, age 72 a resident of Kenosha died Friday April 14, 2006 at Kenosha
Medical Center.

Born on June 6, 1933 in Spooner WI she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Berth (Messersmith) Payson.

She was educated in the schools of Spooner WI and came to the Kenosha area as a teenager.

She would marry Francis Herr and they would later divorce.

She was employed as a visiting nurse with home health care at various local agencies retiring in 1995. She loved to cook, sew and knit.

She is survived by two sons Michael (Sherry) Herr of Kenosha, Charles Herr of Kenosha, one daughter Elizabeth Herr of Kenosha; eight grandchildren, Heather, James, Jonathan, Diana, Quentin, Jennifer, Lindsay, Brian, one great grandchild, Nathaniel, and one sister Helen Julius of Necedah WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her ex-husband, and one brother Charles.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 18, 2006 at 4:00PM at First Presbyterian Church in Kenosha. (Corner of 83rd Street and 17th Avenue) Visitation will be on Tuesday at the church from 3:00 until the time of services.
